Founder Ralph St. Clair started Clairco Tool Company as the charter Sandvik Coromant Distributor, introducing the Swedish-based company in the USA.
1982
New Era of Leadership Under James A. Luebke Sr.
James A. Luebke Sr. took over the reins of Clairco Tool Co. after working for the company since 1975. His previous experience at Caterpillar, as well as Sandvik Coromant, provided him with a solid foundation in manufacturing technology. That, along with his exemplary passion for providing great service and helping his customers succeed, created a strong business model and a guarantee of success.
2005
Steven Griswold assumed the role of President and CEO of Clairco Tool Co. after working for the company since the mid 1990's
Steve Griswold is a veteran, served in the Navy for the United States of America and upon his completion of service time served his apprenticeship at the Rock Island Arsenal where he honed his mechanical and machining skills to achieve excellence. The same passion for great customer service, and the desire to help others thrive was the catylist to keep Clairco Tool Co. moving forward.
2016
Steven Griswold Recruits Duane Lindsey to Leadership Team
Duane Lindsey was recruited by Steven Griswold to join ranks with Clairco Tool Co. as the VP of Operations and continued the push to propel Clairco Tool Co. forward in a very challenging business.
2018
Duane Lindsey Assumes Ownership of Clairco
Duane assumed ownership of the company and began casting his vision to his employees and customers that our future is bright if we continue to challenge ourselves and reach for excellence. Duane has gained his experience as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker and Manufacturing Engineer in multiple facilities in the Quad Cities manufacturing scene. That, along with his experience with Sandvik Coromant, serving as a Technical Territory Representative, OEM Specialist, and Strategic Account Manager, has given him great insight into the significant need for suppliers willing to go the extra mile and help our manufacturing industry continue to progress. That same passion and willingness to help others that was founded in 1957 has been passed down from our founder and previous leaders, and we truly are excited to share what we offer to you!
